Downloadable PDF "Selecting Children's and Young Adult Literature about American Indians"

Earlier today I made a downloadable two-page document called "Selecting Children's and Young Adult Literature about American Indians." It includes a few short introductory paragraphs and the three "top ten" lists (by grade level) shown at the top right of American Indians in Children's Literature.

You can print and use it as needed, without writing to me for permission.

Thanks for taking the time to create this resource. If you don't mind, I'll be sharing it with other school librarians in my district.

Thanks Debbie, I posted your link on my facebook page because your list features two of my texts for my Canadian Children's literature course that I am teaching this term.

Thank you for this great resource. It will be helpful as a reference for my own purchases as well as making recomendations to the teachers I work with. I enjoyed your presentation during our Indian Residential Schools:Aboriginal Learning for Survivance: Reclaiming the Promise class last week. Since then I have been cruising your site and found so many great resources and valuable information. I was happy to read that you liked George Littlechild's This Land is Our Land and Sherman Alexie's The Absolutely True Diary of a Part Time Indian. Both are books I have used and recommended to my collegues. I will definitely be passing on information about your blog to the other consultants in my division and the teachers I work with. I appreciate your honesty and straight forward language. I'm a new fan!
