I suppose that is why we can't seem to make any real strides towards living together and accepting the worlds diversified cultures as just another member of the family of man.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27760240.post-82844011868804458022013-11-26T17:03:34.298-06:002013-11-26T17:03:34.298-06:00Hi Dr. Reese! I work as a graduate assistant for the National Center for the Study of Children's Literature at San Diego State University. I'm in the middle of a three-part blog about being thankful for Indigenous children's literature, and thought you might like to see it(especially since the first part begins by acknowledging your work). sdsuchildlit.blogspot.comKelseyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15822838464500366525noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27760240.post-12396159162000423912013-11-25T21:51:30.183-06:002013-11-25T21:51:30.183-06:00I feel my Irish diaspora ancestors are kin to Nati...I feel my Irish diaspora ancestors are kin to Native Americans. The first witch burned at Salem was an old Irish slave woman (slave of a Puritan landholder) deemed a witch because she could not say the Lord's Prayer (Our Father) in English. (She could say it in Irish). I am so grateful to another native nation - the Choctaw people for recognizing that kinship when they raised $170(some say $710)by marching in solidarity for the Irish people who were only allowed blighted potatoes to eat while tons of the wheat and beef in Ireland was exported. Truly a noble act which links the two people in my heart. Thank you.Annie Loop Finneranhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05412115030048492025noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27760240.post-45689490402528344422013-11-23T15:24:53.787-06:002013-11-23T15:24:53.787-06:00You rock, Taylor!
